Week 1 is almost DONE!

HI!!!!!!!  So checkin went fairly well on Monday....  Minus the few issues at casting, but let's not get into that :)

I arrived around 7 am and met my friend Chloe, who I am currently living with! We got a 1 bedroom apartment in Chatham, it's so nice!  After filling out all the housing info we got on the bus to casting!  We all waited in line to get a sticker that had our work location.  Sadly I didn't have a sticker because something got messed up in the system (I was sorta freaking out that I didn't have a job lol)  So I didn't get to go through casting with all my new friends, but it's ok.  So finally once they found me in the system they told me I was going to be working in Hollywood Studios - Icon Attractions!  Now for those of you who don't know what the Icon Attractions are you can be placed in any of the following places: Great Movie Ride (which is what I was hoping for), American Idol attraction, Muppets 3D, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, or Jedi Training Academy, and Star Tours when it re-opens.  So, once I was told that I starting crying because I was so happy to have my request granted!  Then we went to go fill out more stuff like background check info and all that cool stuff...  One fun part was getting to meet a trainer and find out when my training is!  It said I have my park training Saturday.  They guy also said call the number on the page if I cant wait until Saturday to find out my location and what shoes I may need to buy...   I finally finished casting around 12:30....  

After that I met my roomie back at the apartment, I called the number to find out my location....  I was told I will be giving tours on the GREAT MOVIE RIDE! I screamed after I hung up the phone because I was so excited to be able to live my dream! And then I cried, tears of joy of course :) 

Yesterday was Traditions! Such a fun class! It was about 4.5 hours of learning Disney history and learning about the company.  We also all got a special tour of the Magic Kingdom!  Very cool, I must say!

After class we got our nametags! Which Mickey brought us as a present!  Best present I've gotten in a while, haha...

Today since Chloe and I had off  so we went shopping for our training outfits and work shoes.  We also went to the special cast member stores and got some groceries.  Now I'm super tired and wanna go to bed, got lots more unpacking to do tomorrow!

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone! Yes I'm a little late on the new years wishes, sorry 'bout that!  Hope you guys all had a happy and safe new year!  I have to check in to Disney in 26 days! I am so excited! The countdown is ending a little bit every day! I'm FINALLY starting to put my clothes in piles to decide what I'm taking with me.  It's hard work, but fun because I'm planning for the next 8-9 months of my life that will ROCK! I'm supposed to get more snow here, and I wish I could be in Disney already! I keep seeing things that remind me of Disney and it's kinda awesome and annoying at the same time lol.  I never thought a WDW commercial would make me tear up a bit haha.  Well back to packing! I'll write more soon!

Welcome!

Hey everyone! Welcome to my first blog!


To begin, first off, I am super excited to be entering the Walt Disney College Program in January!  I am starting January 31 as an Attractions Cast Member! I am super glad I got one of my top choices! Now you may be asking what does an Attractions cast member do?  Well in short term, we run the rides and shows!  We are the people who tell you to "Please remain seated" and who ask you "How many people in your party?"

Now to leave I have lots to do to get ready.  I have to pack, which is the first thing I am doing!  It's very exciting to pack and get ready for my 8 month long journey to the most magical place on earth!  While packing I'm cleaning out my closet and finding things I didn't even know I had still!  I found some retro Toon Town shirts and WDW shirts that are probably 15-20 years old (Walt Disney World, for those of you who don't know what WDW stands for)! (Can't wait to wear those down there!)  I also found my High School bowling team shirts, which I will never throw away because there are too many memories that go along with them.  I also found my Disney Store uniform shirt!  Along with lots of old shirts I didn't know I still owned or even knew I owned in the first place!

There aren't many other things I have to do after that.  I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff, but it's a snow day and who cares about much other than movies and pop corn while sitting by the fire?  NOT ME! :)  In cause you are wondering, I'm watching "Julie & Julia".  A personal favorite.  Also on that note I am being asked to go bake some muffins :)
